Israeli Communication Ministry opens the way for fast deployment of cellular antennas with fewer regulations

The Israeli Ministry of Communication informed the public on 18/7/2023, that it is going to allow entrepreneurs and companies to install and manage cellular antennas on buildings, light polls, electric polls, bus stops, and other infrastructure, with less regulation. These entrepreneurs and companies will then be able to rent the use of their antennas to cellphone carriers.

Increased Exposure

In a world where the so-called safety standards for RF radiation are based on the assumption that heat is the only possible danger (and no health risk exists), these new antennas will be everything but “low radiation”. These new cellphone antennas will most likely be installed next to houses, buildings, schools, and crowded places (and in some cases in or on top of them). Therefore public exposure to 24X7, multi-frequency, high-duty-cycle RF radiation will increase dramatically. More cases of Electromagnetic sensitivity are explored.

4G/5G vision = antennas every 50 meters

The ministry’s vision for 4G and 5G networks is to have a cellphone antenna every 50 meters. This new decision of the ministry will drive the deployment of cellphone antennas every 50 m. This will lead to more people living, sleeping, and working in direct eyesight, and in close proximity to a cell phone antenna.

More antennas = more radiation

More antennas = more radiation

Many small antennas – almost all the buildings are in direct line of sight

One big antenna – only some of the buildings are in direct line of sight

Line of sight = more of the radiation hits the building = higher radiation levels, even if the antennas will be smaller or with lower output power

Just like in the USA.

This vision is similar to what is happening in the last few years in the USA.
