Dave Stetzer passed away last month (11/2025). Stetzer was an engineer aware of radiation hazards, a knowledgeable expert, researcher, and pioneer!
Dave Stetzer was an American engineer, researcher, and inventor, and one of the pioneers in the field of non-ionizing radiation engineering. More precisely, he was a pioneer in the field of reducing exposure to harmful radiation, especially in the area of power quality (electrical pollution – Dirty Electricity), stray ground currents, and proper grounding.
A True Professional and a Kind person
I met Dave 15 years ago at a conference on electrical pollution (Dirty Electricity) organized by the company “Dolev Clean Environment” in Tel Aviv (thank you, Yoni Grainer and Yossi Hershkovich, for inviting me). He was both a professional and a genuinely kind person.

At the conference, the topic of electrical pollution was introduced and explained in Israel for the first time, and Dave was the engineer behind the knowledge, the measurements, and the solution. In fact, the measurement units (GS-Units), the pollution meter (GS-Meter), and the filters (GS-Filter) were all named after him. The “S” stands for his last name, Stetzer (the “G” stands for Graham, the last name of his late partner and co-founder of the company, Prof. Martin Graham, may he rest in peace).
It was as clear as light
For me, the lectures and workshops were eye-opening. The entire day was enlightening. The explanations about the effects of Dirty Electricity helped me connect the dots regarding symptoms and phenomena (that I had seen in myself and others), which, until then, I couldn’t explain. These effects and symptoms often occurred in situations we believed had zero radiation exposure. The professional demonstration using an oscilloscope and a second, simpler dedicated measuring device was both simple and brilliant at the same time, and the solution offered was direct and straightforward.

A true professional and a very kind person
Above all, I was impressed by the man, by Dave. Dave was an engineer, always smiling, modest, pleasant, and calm. He explained patiently to anyone who was willing to listen and shared his knowledge with anyone who wanted to learn—even with skeptics. He was an engineer who not only mastered the technical aspects (and it was clear he does) but also understood the effects and harms of non-ionizing radiation (which is rare, as most engineers don’t acknowledge the harm).
At the end of the day, Dave gave me filters and equipment for measurements (including a filter for oscilloscope measurements, which I used several times but lost during one of the times I moved), and he told me not to hesitate to contact him anytime. Whenever I reached out, I received warm responses and tons of information. I understand Dave treated everyone this way—always trying to help, support, teach, and explain.
I tried not to disturb him too much, but from time to time we emailed. He always explained, and always had time.

Work and Legacy
Dave Stetzer, together with Professor Martin Graham, developed and marketed filters and meters for dirty electricity. The meters allowed even those without experience using oscilloscopes to measure the level of electrical pollution in a circuit. I rent out the meter, and when I had a stock of the filters in the past, I also sold them (I still use them to this day).
Dave Stetzer held numerous patents on the subject and published several studies with his partner, Prof. Graham.
