EMF Road Jammer is a retro-futuristic first-person arcade action game. The player steps into the shoes of a road safety trustee traveling in an operational vehicle, armed with an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) rifle and equipped with a real-time Radio Frequency (RF) radiation meter.
The Mission: Detect and neutralize vehicles where smartphones are in use (glowing in bright blue), which transmit continuously and interfere with driving (cell phone use while driving slows down traffic and dramatically increases the risk of road accidents).
The hero travels on intercity highways, neutralizing cell phone use in vehicles and disabling cellular antennas (disabling an antenna forces all drivers using phones in the area to stop immediately until coverage is restored by the next antenna). The objective: stop cell phone use on the roads, avoid accidents, and reach the next city.
- Radiation Exposure: Prolonged exposure will decrease the player’s health.
- Vehicle Damage: Hitting a vehicle reduces your vehicle’s health to the point where it can become disabled.
- Lives: The player has three lives.
- Scoring: Points are awarded for neutralizations and speed. Try to drive at a reasonable speed—driving too fast increases the chance of accidents or missing targets.
Along the way, you can collect protective gear, GABA supplements (which reduce radiation symptoms and restore player health), and an emergency light bar, which causes vehicles to clear the lane for a few crucial seconds.
The game combines fast-paced gameplay, striking vector-grid aesthetics, and environmental awareness of wireless emissions—delivering a unique and engaging arcade experience.
The game is designed for both educational purposes and enjoyment. It incorporates real-world principles for coping with radiation exposure and Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS). For example, staying close to people using smartphones and wireless devices (RF sources) damages your health. Collecting “RF caps” (protective hats) slows down health depletion, while the GABA supplement repairs and improves your health.

Progression
