Buying a new used car

This year (2026), I purchased a used 2015 NISSAN NOTE. Immediately after the purchase, I did two things:

Removed or turned off all transmitters and wireless equipment from the vehicle.

Made a list of repairs, upgrades, and modifications I want to do.

Low on the upgrade list was the task of purchasing a new multimedia system and turning off or removing all transmitters from it.

I documented the purchase of the car and the removal of all RF sources from it in several blog posts. The summary was compiled in the post – https://www.norad4u.com/blog/2026/02/buying-a-new-old-low-emf-radiaton-car/

Choosing and Ordering the new multimedia system

A few weeks ago, I finally ordered the new Multimedia system from China. The purchase was delayed due to the war, and because of my search for the model that seemed to best fit my requirements. One of the main requirements was that it would be possible to turn off all RF transmissions (WIFI + BT). Another requirement was that the device would have physical buttons. Turning off the transmissions because I am radiation sensitive. Physical Buttons, because I believe that the main functions should be operable via a button, without diverting attention from the road and without performing multiple actions or gestures on the touch screen.

This is contrary to the majority opinion, where people want as many transmitters as possible (and as strong as possible) and as many touch screens as possible with fewer buttons. Of course, in both cases, they are wrong.

Physical installation

When the shipment finally arrived (there was a customs delay), I began the installation by measuring radiation from the device and turning off everything that could be turned off. The device’s GUI (user interface) was restricted by the manufacturer, and it was only possible to turn off the WIFI through the interface. It was not possible to turn off the Bluetooth. This is where I got suspicious.

Afterward, I carried out a variety of physical adjustments in the car. The new device was supposed to be a perfect fit, but a few millimeters were missing in the dashboard for it to slide in easily.

MP3 player on an Android multimedia system

Installing apps

After hacking, cutting, and sanding the dashboard, the device fit in freely. Then I turned my attention to configuring the device and installing a navigation software that does not require cellular data or internet access. The software is ORGANIC MAPS, and it can be found on the Google Play Store. It requires a one-time wireless download of the maps to the device. Afterward, the Wi-Fi can be turned off forever (or until the next time you want to update to new maps). The installation was performed by downloading the APK file to a computer, transferring it to a USB memory card, and then transferring it to the device and running it.

ORGANIC MAPS – offline navigation without radiation

Additionally, I installed a few more apps to make the device cooler, simpler, and more convenient to use. At the end of each installation, I re-checked that the device was not emitting radio frequency radiation, just in case one of the apps decided to turn the transmissions back on.

Radio reception on the Android multimedia system

Is the RF really off?

Slowly but surely, a suspicion crept into my heart that there was a transmission, albeit a weak one. I removed the device from the car and hooked it up on my desk at home.

RF from the device…probably Bluetooth

At my house, the background radiation is lower than the radiation in the car, when it is parked on the street, and there are no transmissions at all (my entire house is wired/cable-based). This means it would be easy to notice any unusual transmissions from the device. Any transmission would be registered and displayed on the radiation meter.

I placed two radiation meters next to the device: an old CORNET ED88TPLUS to see if there was a transmission, and the ENV RD100 connected to a computer with software that displays the measurements over several hours. This way, I could capture every transmission. And indeed, two short transmissions were clearly visible once every few minutes.

Measuring the RF from the multimedia system at home

BTLE signal every 150 seconds

There was a tiny transmission every now and then. To understand exactly how often the transmission occurs, I connected the ENV RD100 to the computer and ran the logging software. On the software, I saw that the transmission occurs every 150 seconds (two and a half minutes). The transmission was clearly visible on both the meters and the software.

BT2-BICON

I used AI to help figure out what this could be. Its direction pointed toward a Bluetooth ‘KEEP ALIVE’ or ‘BEACON’ signal.
I installed a software that uncovers settings blocked by the manufacturer, and indeed, I found a setting for ‘BTL2’—a setting that, even when turned off, reverts back to transmission mode every time the device boots up.

WIFI and BT scanning turned off on the setup …not enough

Removing the antennas

After realizing I wouldn’t be able to turn this setting off permanently, I began to intervene at the hardware level. First, I removed the external Bluetooth antennas. On one of the device’s connectors, there were two small wires (about 3 cm each) that served as antennas for the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. After removing them, the measured signal dropped accordingly.

Removing 2 small antennas from one of the plugs…BT and WIFI

To be honest, it was so low that it would have satisfied most people. But it did not satisfy me as a radiation-sensitive individual. The Bluetooth transmission dropped from a level of 8 milliwatts per square meter to less than 0.02. The Wi-Fi transmission (which I can turn off via the settings menu) dropped from 200 milliwatts per square meter to around 10 milliwatts per square meter.

2 BTLE (low energy Bluetooth) signals on the meters’ histogram.

Removing chips from the board

To lower the transmission even further, I decided to open the device and look for the transmitter itself to see if it could be removed. With the help of Google’s AI, I analyzed the components on the board. I realized that the transmission comes from a main chip that runs the operating system, which also includes the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth transmitter. This chip cannot be removed, because then the device wouldn’t work. I kept looking for another component that could be removed, or a point where I could cut off the path of the Bluetooth (and Wi-Fi) transmission to the external pins of the device.

The Android multimedia system motherboard

What I found (with the help of the AI) was an RF mixer/multiplexer installed on the board. I did a few tests with a multimeter to verify that this was indeed the component, and I identified that the pins that were connected to the external antennas were connected to the bottom pins of this chip.

The RF Multiplexer on the motherboard

I plucked up the courage and disconnected it from the board… I tried to be gentle, but since it was so small, I made quite a mess there. Ultimately, I managed to disconnect three of its pins from the board: the Wi-Fi pin, the Bluetooth pin, and the ground pin.

The RF Multiplexer output legs were removed from the motherboard

Retesting

“I reassembled everything and checked the radiation again. The radiation during Bluetooth transmission has now dropped almost below the level I am able to measure at home. And even then, it was only when the radiation meters were placed right against the device. In the car out on the street, this transmission will drown in all the noisy background. At least, that is what I hope. Besides, it’s just a pulse once every two and a half minutes. Not too bad… I hope.

RF noise after RF Multiplexer was removed from the board

I reinstalled and reconnected everything, and checked the radiation in the car again, and indeed, I didn’t see the transmission at all above the already noisy background on the street.

This is the third time I have been forced to intervene at the hardware level in such devices to completely stop the transmission. And this is the first time I actually had to lift the ‘pins’ of a tiny component off the board. In previous times, I had to disconnect an entire daughter board, which is easier.
To anyone who thinks this looks easy, or who feels exhausted after reading this tiring post, I will only say that it took me somewhere between 20 to 40 hours of work to do it all (depending on how you count).
That’s it… Now everything is assembled, everything works, and it seems that everything is not transmitting. Time to move on to the next project.

The intensity was defined as “weak” and matches a typical urban electromagnetic profile considered safe for humans. The exposure intensity is below standard safety limits, typical of an urban environment, and is distinguished from the natural background levels at those frequencies. According to the AI, the level is between 0.2-0.4 milligauss. I did not find any reference to this in the paper itself. Exposure Duration: The exposure lasted for a short period only – 30 minutes in total. Exposure Timing: Groups exposed at different times were tested: at sunset (the time of the bat’s compass calibration), after sunset, or at night during takeoff itself.

What was observed? Loss of Navigation Ability (Disorientation):

While the control bats (which were not exposed to radiation) took off in a clear and specific direction corresponding to their natural migratory path, all the bats exposed to radiation took off in completely random directions (a uniform and scattered directional distribution). A key finding in the study is that the navigation disruption persisted even hours after the brief exposure had ended. Bats that were exposed for only 30 minutes and then placed in a dark room exhibited random and confused flight even when released about 2 to 6 hours after the end of the exposure.

Consistency of the Disruption

The disruption in navigation occurred regardless of the timing of the exposure – whether they were exposed at sunset, after it, or at the moment of release, the exposure itself caused confusion in their ability to interpret the Earth’s magnetic field.

Conclusion – Standards Do Not Protect, The Consensus Is Wrong

The study reinforces the understanding that there are many mechanisms of damage and effects of non-ionizing radiation on biological systems and animals. This goes far beyond the prevailing misconception (represented by standards committees, ICNIRP, the World Health Organization, and the Ministries of Health and Environmental Protection) that if radiation does not cause immediate and acute effects (such as death), then it is harmless and completely safe.

What’s Wrong?

Something is going wrong in the auto industry (actually, a few things) over the last few years, and it looks like a major counter-movement is finally waking up. Lately, cars seem to be getting bigger, safer, more advanced, and less polluting. At least, that’s how it looks on the surface. So, what’s wrong? Unfortunately, through all these changes, vehicles have become bulkier, overly complex, and way more expensive to buy, maintain, and drive. And instead of actually keeping us safer, they have turned into a massive distraction behind the wheel.

Everybody Wants an SUV

The compact and sedan sectors—and especially large executive cars—have been virtually wiped out (at least in the Israeli market). They’ve been replaced by lifted, high-riding versions known locally as “Jeepons” and globally as Crossovers or SUVs. Everybody wants to sit up high, even if they only use the car to drop the kids off at kindergarten or sit in bumper-to-bumper traffic for an hour each way. The impact of this trend, alongside the death of smaller family cars, is exactly what you’d expect: a massive spike in car prices, vehicle weight, and overall maintenance costs. Everyone wants an SUV, but it comes with a price tag.

Are New Cars Actually Safer?

Ever-tightening safety regulations have forced more and more passive and active safety systems into our vehicles. The first byproduct of these systems—especially when poorly designed—is that they actually distract and annoy the driver while they’re trying to focus on the road. The second byproduct is cost. Every single one of these systems requires funding for development, taxes, and maintenance. Sure, they might save you a bit on insurance or registration taxes, but my estimate is that these systems add roughly 10,000 NIS (~3000$US), to the price of a new car. On top of that, they constantly interrupt the driver and have mostly become a daily nuisance. As a reference, a compact-sized SUV, like the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid, in Israel costs ~180000NIS(which is around US$60000)

Fuel Efficiency? Think Again.

Strict emissions and fuel economy regulations have pushed manufacturers toward smaller engines (three or even two cylinders, around 1.0 to 1.2 liters) packed with turbochargers and paired with dual-clutch (robotized) or CVT transmissions. We see this even in relatively large vehicles like family sedans and SUVs. Beyond the lack of immediate power (as well as the shift to SUVs, which makes the cars heavier and causes higher fuel consumption even on smaller, weaker engines), this shift brings massive complexity and hidden costs. Smaller engines tend to wear out faster, turbo systems require extra maintenance, and robotized gearboxes (and CVTs to a lesser extent) demand complex and expensive upkeep. It all drives up running costs. And don’t even get me started on hybrids or electric vehicles—where you get unnecessary exposure to higher radiation alongside even greater technical complexity.

More Screens, More Distractions

Inside the cabin, physical levers and mechanical buttons are vanishing, replaced by massive screens. This has two major consequences: longer task times (meaning the driver’s eyes are off the road) and skyrocketing maintenance and repair costs. A recent study (link) highlighted staggering differences in response times for performing four basic driving tasks. The clear winner? The older vehicle with physical buttons and dials, leaving the screen-heavy modern cars far behind.

see – https://www.vibilagare.se/reportage/test-av-pekskarmen-i-11-bilar-gamlingen-vinner-stort?

Expensive “Spaceships”

The bottom line of all this is that cars have become over-engineered, more expensive to buy, and pricier to drive and maintain—all while having a shorter lifespan. Instead of simple, reliable transport, vehicles are turning into spaceships. DIY maintenance or fixing your own car? Forget about it. What used to be a common hobby is now nearly impossible because everything is so tightly packed and complex, requiring specialized diagnostic tools and the knowledge of an automotive engineer. In fact, things are so bad on the maintenance front that even dealership garages have almost stopped fixing parts; they just swap out entire systems. A repair that used to cost a few hundred shekels has turned into replacing a whole engine or a complete modular system, racking up bills in the thousands.

The Tide is Turning

But now, we might finally be seeing a shift. Well, sort of.

European Regulations: Stop Distracting Us!

In 2026, for the first time, European safety standards will prioritize physical buttons and mechanical controls, which allow drivers to operate systems much faster. They are also focusing on safety systems that don’t constantly get in the driver’s way. I wrote about this here – https://etsc.eu/cars-will-need-buttons-not-just-touchscreens-to-get-a-5-star-euro-ncap-safety-rating/

or https://www.autoblog.com/news/europe-and-china-now-require-physical-buttons-in-cars-will-the-us-follow

The Rise of Kei Trucks in the US

Another interesting pushback is coming straight from the US. American farmers and tradespeople are starting to import old, tiny Japanese work vehicles known as Kei Trucks. Why? Because they are cheap, dead simple, easy to fix yourself, highly reliable, and incredibly practical. More and more Americans are ditching their over-styled spaceships—those gigantic lifted trucks that look more like luxury yachts. We actually have a few of those in my neighborhood; they take up two regular parking spots, and you practically need a ladder just to climb into the cabin. Instead, people are choosing to work their fields with what we in Israel affectionately used to call the “Subarit” (a nod to Subaru’s tiny microvans from the ’90s that were nimble, bulletproof, and efficient, often coming with an open flatbed and a 4×4 drivetrain perfect for dirt roads and fields).

Meanwhile, instead of listening to the public, car manufacturers in the US are lobbying for laws to restrict these mini-trucks, citing safety concerns, especially on public roads. That’s what I’m gathering from several recent articles and videos on the subject.

You can see more about it in this video—which might be AI-generated, but the data behind it is absolutely real – https://youtu.be/wcug_olRV-I

An Urgent Wake-Up Call!

To all car manufacturers and importers: I want to see more vehicles that are small, simple, easy to maintain, efficient, and practical. Vehicles that are affordable to buy, run, and fix. Bring back physical buttons, knobs, and levers in the cabin. Give us cars where, if I want to upgrade the infotainment or safety setup, I can do it myself or go to a local technician. I want cars built to last for decades, where I can handle at least basic maintenance on my own driveway.

Fewer screen-heavy spaceships, fewer tiny downsized engines, fewer fragile turbochargers that break down, and fewer delicate transmissions that require constant upkeep. I don’t want vehicles that claim incredible fuel economy on paper, only to bleed my wallet dry with real-world operating costs. And of course, I want vehicles without unnecessary exposure to radiation from excessive electrical and communication systems. Let me decide how advanced or how beautifully simple my car should be, based on my own needs and taste.

I am certain I am not the only one.

The Israel ministry of Education has announced that it will ban the use of cellphones in middle schools. In the past, it has banned the use in primary schools. 14 years ago, the ministry pushed for WIFI , tablets, laptops and then cellphones in schools. We then warned against this and predicted that kids will have lower grades, lower reading-writing skills, and have worse communication skills, and some of them will become sensitive to Electromagnetic radiation (as my child has).

We went to court on this issue and lost. WIFI was deployed, and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device – meaning using cellphones in class) was adopted.

Now everybody can see the damage, and the ministry is banning the use in middle schools.

Not just in Israel, also in Norway – https://youtu.be/DbMTfxM7npY

Full replay

“There is no way you can detect radiation from cell phones. If you can demonstrate that you can identify whether a phone is active or not inside a closed box, it would be an incredible medical breakthrough! Has any of you ever performed such an experiment?”

My reply and explanation

First of all, I do not usually approve the entry of “EMF/EHS harm-deniers” into this group. As an exception, I have approved your membership and your comment, for the slim chance that you are truly naive and unfamiliar with the subject, haven’t experienced it yourself, and are genuinely here to learn. However, if there is any hint of denying the damages or denying Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS) in your comments, I will block you.

I suspect you are basing your opinion on flawed experiments regarding EHS published in industry-funded studies. These studies committed numerous errors in exposure testing, including exposing subjects when there was supposedly no exposure, and expecting sensitive individuals to react to every type of non-ionizing radiation—instantly, always, and to be “as good as new” after a few minutes without exposure (or with less exposure). You can read about these studies and their flaws on my website:
https://www.norad4u.com/ehs/studies-disproving-ehs/

Studies disproving EHS

Naturally, these studies were embraced by deniers and promoted by the industry as if they were the truth. To this day, this is what is taught in academia (without understanding the subject and without a critical look at the studies themselves). In contrast, there are many studies showing that EHS individuals react in one way or another to exposure, as well as studies showing biomarkers and neurological findings in EHS sufferers. These studies are also summarized on my site:
https://www.norad4u.com/ehs/studies-supporting-ehs/

Studies supporting EHS

It is possible that you simply do not want to believe that EHS is possible or caused by radiation, and it is easy and convenient for you to think we are all mentally ill. After all, you are a high-tech worker, a computer science graduate, likely a heavy cell phone user, and surrounded by radiation throughout your day. To think that you are harming yourself is a problematic thought for you. Thinking that you don’t understand or know everything might also be an inconceivable thought.

You seem to feel contempt toward those who are sensitive, and contempt toward the possibility that EHS is real, caused by radiation exposure, and that non-ionizing radiation (specifically RF radiation) has biological and health effects at exposure levels lower than those that cause heating. If that is the case, you probably won’t be able to “digest” studies showing mechanisms of harm, effects, damages, and morbidity resulting from exposure (https://www.norad4u.com/emf-science-studies/studies-lists/). This contradicts what is common in “denier” and industry circles.

EMF Studies Lists

Regarding whether EHS individuals can identify transmitting phones inside a box: the answer is not always, and not every person. The individual must be sensitive to the specific type of radiation being transmitted (not everyone is sensitive to all types of frequencies and transmissions. Asmart phone my be emitting UMTS, LTE, WIFI, Bluetooth, NFC, other…), and the intensity must be such that it causes a noticeable and distinct change, without harming them or worsening their condition.

I, for example, feel cell phones. In the past, when I was more sensitive and worked in high-tech, I would literally “detect” active cell phones through the drywall of my lab, and discover transmissions inside the lab or at home. Usually, I was later able to confirm this with a radiation meter and find the source. Today, I am less sensitive and can spend a little time in an environment with cell phones, so my detection ability is lower. But still, after a day of cumulative exposure that is too high for me, I will feel unwell.

For instance, this week I am conducting tests in my home lab with RF transmitters in the open air. I sit two meters away from the transmitters (a transmission weaker than the average cell phone). I don’t feel the radiation immediately, but by the end of the day, I am more tired than usual. Last week, there was one day where I overdid it with the exposure (working with an amplifier), and than I felt the radiation during the day. There was even a point in the day, as the pain accumulated, where I could actually feel every start and end of a transmission, and even an electric field from a USB cable I added near the computer. Then, and exactly then, that additional radiation was enough to trigger my “detection.” The next day, after a good night’s sleep, I no longer felt the cables.

Personally, I have had hundreds of cases where I identified radiation based on feeling and later identified the source with a meter. This includes cases where radiation shielding stopped working (e.g., a grounding wire disconnected) and I identified it by feeling worse. I assume many EHS sufferers here have similar experiences—not every time, not with every type of radiation, but with the right exposure, at the right intensities and the right type, they recognize it.

This is not something you can base a precise research protocol on that will work for everyone, everytime. But it is enough to understand that you are sensitive. Even those with mild (Low) sensitivity, who are only at the beginning of their decline, will notice that every time they talk for more than “X” amount of time on a cell phone held to their head, they get a headache afterward. This might sound delusional to addicts or industry people, but it is very common.

Beyond that, I guide many sensitive individuals, and during the process, we gradually reduce their exposure to radiation. In most cases, the improvement is significant. Furthermore, in the past, there were those who intentionally exposed me to radiation to see if I would react (without my consent or knowledge); I usually caught them fairly quickly (though not instantly). Today, as mentioned, I am less sensitive (an improvement resulting from years of reducing exposure and improving my health), and I probably wouldn’t identify it as quickly.

Background

On September 19, 2025, I left home in one car (a 2012 Mazda 6 owned by my wife’s parents, which had served us for over 9 years and was low in radiation) and 8 hours later, I returned with a new used car. I bought a used Nissan Note after deciding that this model would suit our family’s needs as well as my needs as someone who is sensitive to radiation.

Before deciding on this model, I also tried to learn from it’s specs, that it is not likely to have any EMF-emitting devices or parts that might create high levels of EMF in the car.

NISSAN NOTE

The first thing I did when I saw the car was perform my own radiation measurements to make sure there was no low-frequency (magnetic field) radiation and to assess whether it would be possible to turn off all transmissions inside the car. After checking the radiation, I began examining the car in other respects (mechanic, outside, and inside conditions). A few hours were enough to finish all the checks, and then I came back home with the new car (leaving the old car with the dealer as a trade-in).

Now, two months after the purchase (as of November 20, 2025), I can make an interim summary and share what I’ve done to the car and my impressions from using and driving it. This is part of the mechanical alignment process, and part of converting it into a low-radiation vehicle suitable for someone who is radiation-sensitive like me. Overall, the process is progressing quite well and fairly quickly. The only thing preventing me from completing all the improvements is money. Therefore, I am still waiting to finish some of the changes and upgrades.

Removing Bluetooth Hands-Free & Disabling Transmissions

The car had two Bluetooth hands-free units installed — as if one wasn’t enough! One was a standalone system, the other was part of the audio-info-nav system.
On the day of the buy, I drove home with both of them active (and miraculously survived) , since I did not find a quick way to turn them off.

Bluetooth hands-free standalone system

BT Signal from the Radio-audio-info-Nav system

The next day after the purchase, I removed the standalone Bluetooth hands-free unit. It was transmitting inside the car. I also disabled all other transmissions from the vehicle’s audio-info-nav system. After checking with a fast home use radiation meter, I verified that there are no more transmissions in the cabin. The only system that still transmits briefly (right after ignition) is the tire pressure monitoring system, but I can’t measure its signal, suggesting it may be installed farther away (perhaps in the engine bay), so it doesn’t bother me.

NO RF IN CAR

Safety Systems – A Terrible Menace

What I can already say is that this is the first time I have driven a car with passive safety systems, and it’s simply awful. I don’t want to think about what would happen if the car had even more safety systems installed. My impression and experience is that these systems constantly warn and distract, take away my focus & desire to drive, and even interfere with driving.

When I received the car, I found it had the basic Mobileye system and also that the navigation system was always on (probably because the three previous owners didn’t know how to turn it off). It constantly notifies about speed limits, driving over the allowed speed (even 1 km/h over), speed cameras, traffic light cameras, and lots of other alerts. It was very, very annoying.

As a result, I had to drive very slowly and became a nuisance on the road, with other drivers constantly overtaking me. My reaction time increased, and I felt like I wasn’t in control of the driving. Therefore, I think that these systems are really dangerous, disruptive, and irritating. I’m a “super user” and know how to turn off and disable the systems and alerts … but most people (including those smarter than me) will continue to drive with the systems active and disruptive. As a fact, the car is over 10 years old, and all of its systems work and interfere without any of the previous drivers having tried to turn them off or change the settings to make them less intrusive.

After a few days, I learned how to turn off the navigation system so it wouldn’t activate with every trip, and adjusted its settings so it would bother me less when I chose to use it. A few days after that, I installed a kill switch for the Mobileye system. Then there was silence in the car. Finally, it’s possible to drive without interruptions, distractions, and alerts.

Stop-and-Go — Disruptive and Troubling

The next system that bothered me was the Stop-and-Go system, which shuts off the engine every time the car stops for more than a few seconds. This is especially annoying because it also stops the air conditioning (it stops working when the engine shuts off). Also, restarting the engine takes a second — sometimes that one second is needed when you want to accelerate again, especially on the busy and tense roads of Israel.

You can disable Stop-and-Go in a few ways:

Re-program the car’s computer — expensive.

Purchase an electronic component that connects to the disable button and sets the default state to OFF every time the car starts (about ~$120 on AliExpress). I haven’t found a compatible unit for the Note yet — I found options for other Nissan cars, but I’m not sure they work 100 % with my Note.

Short-circuit a micro-switch in the engine bay — this makes the car think the hood is open and disables the Stop-and-Go system. I chose this free solution because the system really bothered me.

Disabling the STOP&START system by shortcutting the bonnet’s microswitch

Acoustics and Speakers

I also installed some acoustic insulation in parts of the car using a cheap material under the interior plastic panels. The improvement was significant: less road noise and better sound quality.

Regarding audio quality, I replaced the original speakers with new RAINBOW ones. Because I’m sensitive to radiation, I prefer not to install external amplifiers or subwoofers — so upgrading the existing speakers was important.

Mechanical Work & Maintenance

Slowly, I am completing the mechanical alignment at the garage: flushing fluids, changing the engine oil and filter, and partial AC repairs (to be completed when I have time and money).

In the future, I will also replace the transmission oil, install new tires (better ones), and perform timing belt service— all relatively expensive.

I also removed and reinstalled the front bumper and plastic parts myself, which fixed annoying rattles that occurred when parts were not connected properly.

FRONT BUMPER reinstallation

Other Small Modifications

I made additional small improvements, like replacing the steering wheel cover, doing a deep interior cleaning, adding a purifying air fragrance, installing a center armrest, and adding an OBD2 display to show vital engine data (e.g., coolant and oil temperature) while driving — data that the factory gauge cluster does not show.

I also installed a grounding strap to reduce static electric fields on the car, replaced wipers, added a fuel additive, upgraded the rearview mirror, and more.

Experience & Interim Summary

The car proves itself as a low-radiation vehicle. I drive it and don’t feel unwell. Gradually, I’m increasing how far I drive it, and my confidence in the car is growing both mechanically and in terms of radiation exposure.

Regarding the requirements I set before purchase, the car has proven successful:

Higher seating position

Smaller, lighter car with good city driving dynamics

Excellent outward visibility (much better than the Mazda 6)

Spacious interior (larger than a Nissan Micra and similar to the Mazda 6)

Good build quality

Improving fuel consumption (about ~1 liter to ~11 km in city driving with many hills and short trips)

Summary

The car is not perfect — it’s used and had three previous owners, and probably none cared for it like I do — but it’s becoming perfect for me and my family (at least that’s the hope).

Most importantly, the car is low in radiation, while driving it I do not feel pain or fatigue due to radiation. It doesn’t have a smart key, and the Bluetooth or WIFI has been turned OFF or removed, and other transmissions have been disabled. In terms of low-frequency magnetic fields, it’s a normal gasoline car with low radiation levels.

The strongest impression from recent days is how bad and distracting these safety systems are, and how many RF-emitting systems people install in their cars.

In recent years, more and more people have been looking for ways to stop their cellphones from emitting RF Radiation whether out of concern for health, privacy, or simply for peace of mind.

Of course, I recommend learning how to operate your device in a way that allows you to stop its wireless transmissions at any time. However, I have come to understand that there are people who find this difficult for various reasons, even if they are aware of the potential harm of radiation and want to reduce their exposure.

Exactly for them, I developed this new product: a small pouch made of radio-frequency (RF) shielding fabric. The moment a mobile phone is placed inside it, and the opening is closed, the pouch blocks all signal reception and radiation from the phone. After a few minutes, the phone “gives up” trying to connect and stops transmitting.

The principle behind this is the Faraday Cage effect—a conductive layer that prevents external radiation from entering and affecting what is inside the pouch, and likewise prevents radiation from inside from escaping outward.

Cellphone Blocking Small bag (faraday cage)

Why use such a pouch/bag?

There are several main reasons for using a radio-frequency shielding pouch:

1. Stopping phone transmission and reception

When the mobile phone is inside the pouch, it cannot receive calls, messages, internet data, GPS signals, and more. This can be useful during sleep, important meetings, or any situation in which you do not want to receive or transmit wireless signals.

2. Reducing exposure to electromagnetic radiation

According to the conductive-fabric principle, radiation emitted by the phone cannot escape outward, thereby reducing exposure for people nearby.

3. Privacy and security

In certain use cases, Faraday bags are also used to prevent tracking or eavesdropping, block location signals, prevent remote access to the device, or protect against signal detection or interception devices.

Radio-frequency shielding fabric pouch/bag for stopping transmission and reception from a mobile phone

What is important to know before purchasing?

Choosing a high-quality material is very important: quality pouches use conductive fabric with metal layers such as copper, nickel, or a combination of metals that provide broad-frequency shielding.
Complete signal blocking also depends on a perfect seal of the pouch—any small opening or gap can allow radiation to penetrate.
