How to record EMF measurement on your PC/laptop?

In this video, I will try to show how to record a measurement of EMF radiation (RF for CORNET, and RF/LF magnetic field/LF Electric field for ENV RD10) on your PC/laptop. This is possible using the CORNET ED88TPLUS (and newer version) and the ENV RD10 (and newer versions) home use EMF meters.
I recently (08/2024) used this to measure RF radiation from water and electric smart meters, over several hours.

Replacing the battery in the CelloEye-24G/24G-S/24G-5S

Every detector in the CelloEye family has an internal battery. In normal use (the detector detects radiation about 10 times every day, with radiation time adding up to about 10 minutes) the battery should last for a few years. In case there are more alerts, the battery might run out sooner. In this case, you can change the battery very easily.

But before trying to change it, make sure that the detector (CelloEye 24G-S) was not turned OFF by mistake. Press the Sound/ON/OFF button for about 10 seconds to turn the detector back on. In case it was turned OFF and now it is ON again, you will see the light indication blinks.

In order to open the CelloEye product line, you have to unscrew the screw on the back and then it remains held by two clamps on the sides. The easiest way is, after releasing the screw, to form a small gap using your nail or a flat screwdriver on the top, and then use another screwdriver to release the clamp on the side. Please see the following images for illustration. Please notice, that if you have one of the models with a button, it’s better to open the side with the button first, and need to be careful not to bend the button.

Once you replace the battery, please notice you insert the new one in the right polarity, the plus side of the battery is facing up.

How to replace the rechargeable battery for ENV RD10

The ENV RD10 has a rechargeable battery. After several years of use, it might malfunction. The first sign for this misfunction is that it will be slightly swollen.

If this happens to your meter, you can change the battery according to the following instructions, DIY or by taking it to an electronic technician.

A. You need to open the case, to do that you place a flat screwdriver in the location of the pic below and then you can release the right side

B. Once the right side is released, you place the screwdriver on the top as in the pic below, and release the upper part. After that, the case should be easily opened.

C. The battery is connected via a connector to the board, see below:

D. In order to release that connector, you need to push gently with a screwdriver on the connector where the battery connector is attached to the onboard connector, see below:

E. The battery itself is connected to the board via a double-sided adhesive tape, so you can just remove it.

G. Simply change the old battery with the new one, and close the meter when first closing the side with the 2 switches.
