In this page we will bring a short summary of some of the studies showing biological effect, damage and morbidity caused by exposure to non-ionising radiation such as RF(Radio Frequency) and ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) magnetic and electric fields. brains that were exposed to RF radiation from cellphones. The RF
 level did not cause temperature changes but damaged the
 Blood-Brain Barrier, which probably was the roth cause of the damages.

Effects of Cell Phone Radiofrequency Signal Exposure on Brain Glucose Metabolism

In this study Nora Volkow shows that RFR from cell phone, in CDMA standard, has a clear effect on the brain. The study shows changes in glucose consumption levels in the brain as a result of exposure to RFR from the cellphone.

Tumor promotion by exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields below exposure limits for humans


Tumor-promoting effects of RF-EMF exposed mice have been reported in a 2010 study. This team replicated the study with higher numbers of mice per group. The team was able to fully confirm the previous results, thus the effects are reproducible. Apparently, no clear dose–response relationship is evident.• THe team hypothesize that metabolic changes are responsible for the effects observed.Study

Cognitive impairment and neuro genotoxic effects in rats exposed to low-intensity microwave radiation

"The results showed  declined cognitive function, elevated HSP70 level, and DNA damage in the brain of microwave-exposed animals. The results indicated that, chronic low-intensity microwave exposure in the frequency range of 900 to 2450 MHz may cause hazardous effects on the brain."

 1 The US National Toxicology Program (NTP), 2016 Report of Partial findings from the National Toxicology Program Carcinogenesis Studies of Cell Phone Radiofrequency Radiation in Hsd: Sprague Dawley® SD rats (Whole Body Exposure)

a US$25,000,000 study done by the NTP showed that male rates developed 2 types of cancer and precancerous conditions due to full body exposure to RFR from cell phones in GSM and CDMA standards, simulating full life exposure of a human.

The interphone study show added risk to Glioma for user of more than 27
minutes per day for 10 years. 

 This study shows a 40% (82% after statistical correction in appendix 2) 
 increase of risk for Glioma of people who used the cell phone for more
 than 27 minutes a day in 10 years (total of more than 1640 hours). 
This study was published all over the world (and it's headline say) "no link to cancer", while the row data shows different story.

In his many studies, hardel and his team, show the link between the use, exposure to RFR and different types of cancer.

Mobile phone use and brain tumours in the CERENAT case-control study

In this questionnaire study 253 Glioma Brain cancer patients, 194 Meningiomas and 892 controls, were asked about this cell phone use habits.
The study found that "Heaviest Users" had an added risk of both types of brain cancers:
Higher than 896 Hours (about 14.72 minutes per day for 10 years) - OR=2.89; 95% CI 1.41 to 5.93 for gliomas; OR=2.57; 95% CI 1.02 to 6.44 for meningiomas.
Number of calls higher than 18 360 calls (about 5 calls per day for 10 years), OR=2.10, 95% CI 1.03 to 4.31
Even "Normal Users" has a OR=1.24 for Gliomas.

"Risks were higher for gliomas, temporal tumours, occupational and urban mobile phone use."

This study was part of the interphone study (see above) and was published on it's own. The study tested and found correlation between cellphone use and Benign and Malignant Parotid Gland Tumor. The results showed an increase risk of 58% in the users that did the most number of calls (>5,479 , in 10 years that would be about 1.5 calls a day) and of 49% in the group of users that has the most time on the phone without the use of speaker or an earpiece (>266.3 hours, in 10 years that would be 4.377 minutes a day ) .
